Maya Cafe and Cantina serves fantastic authentic Mexican cuisine at their main Fishkill Route 9 location and their smaller eatery on Main St in Beacon. We just completed a very colorful brochure site for them that conveys the vibe of the restaurant and menu info.
Longtime client of ours, Catskill Concepts, recently updated their site that showcases their Catskill property listings. The project involved location photography which had us making a few day trips to the popular mountain resort area with cameras in hand.
Here is Lou at the controls in L.A. with Message Labs' Mike Lim at the Activision interview. Click to View
Have Cameras - Will Travel. More client videos for MessageLabs. This time the locations were Boston, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles where one of the L.A. interviews was conducted in Spanish.
John just returned from a lightning trip to London where we shot another 4 client interviews over 2 days for MessageLabs. next in the series will be the U.S. locations that will be starting next week with Boston as the first stop.

John with Message Labs' Kitty Hetzel at Sydney videoshoot
We have been doing quite a lot of video recently. There's the Brian Cadd / Russell Morris concert in Australia which we are now editing into a video scrap book for the guys. Also MessageLabs, a global giant in the Internet Security managed services arena has contracted us to shoot client testimonials in quite a scattered list of locations; Sydney, London, Chicago, Boston, los Angeles and Miami. I hear that Amsterdam and Brussels are also being added next month.
John will be back in Australia early march to document a special performance of music icons Brian Cadd and Russell Morris who are staging a career retrospective of their solo careers and collaborative works. The one night only show will be performed with full orchestra and John has been asked to capture on video and stills, the rehearsals, the show, the backstage banter, and fan reactions to what promises to be a very memorable event.
Just launched our 3rd wine related site in as many months. This time for Be Friends, a new line being launched in the U. S. by Cave des Vignerons de Buxy in Bourgogne, France. Teuwen One Image in Manhattan directed the job and they were great to work with. After the holidays we will be designing a range of support print materials - folders, shipping labels, letterhead etc.
Paul Burrell, known as the Royal Butler, as in Princess Di and the Queen of England, was recently in New York to promote the launch of his Royal Butler Wines label.
Here is Lou with Paul during an extensive shoot at the event held at the Boscobel Mansion in Garrison overlooking the Hudson.

It has taken a while but realtors are finally getting the message that nothing helps sell a property more effectively than a good photo. Several of our realty clients have upped the ante and in going the extra step have really seen it pay off.
They were lined up and ready to shop at the opening of the new Marshalls Homegoods store in New Rochelle and guess who had to get up extra early and go capture the ribbon cutting ceremony. > see photo section
We have teamed up again with our old pal Geoff Brookins to produce a new site for CT based wine distributor Metrowine.
Geoff is a wiz at technology integration and we look forward to launching in mid August. We have worked with O'Daly Associates on several large database driven sites including Spectrum IEEE Magazine and Coty Beauty.

GoodRock is a major player in Manhattan Real Estate and have just launched their new site with a heavy emphasis on property and area photography.

Our Photo Rendering service is really taking off. Check out the latest samples and read our sales pitch in the Render section.

Spectrum IEEE Magazine has just launched their new site and throughout August we were working nonstop with Geoff Brookins, IT guru at Beachead Technologies, in getting the xml coding done. Fergus O'Daly Associates on Park Ave spearheaded the project.

We are particularly pleased with the way the site for Beacon Self Storage turned out. Facility manager. Jill Jensen is very happy with this little gem.
Mike Sheehan, owner of MFS Masonry, tells us how great it is when someone calls him for a quote. He tells them to dial up the web site and they look at his work together while on the phone. This has increased business enormously for him.
At some point this year we will be offering custom audio tracks (known in the biz as 'soundbeds') for background use. John is working with NY producer Ron Ross in assembling an archive of original sound textures to complement slide shows, Flash animations, stills and video etc. The showcase site soundbeds.com will launch in the Fall. Design and production by Patrou Phelps.
Did someone mention MTV?
Got a call recently fron Terry Gipson, primo set designer for MTV. Last year we did some coding work for him and he's ready to add some more visuals. That's John on the right with Terry outside MTV's Time Square studios.
Limited Editions Realty in Cold Spring is adding a DVD Slideshow to their window display and this will run 24/7, showing their current listings in the Garrison/Cold Spring area. This is a new sales tool that we are offering and it is obviously ideal for realtors and the travel industry. Slideshows are made to order with custom transitions and feature sales and marketing elements beyond the usual fare, resulting in a fresh and entertaining approach. Content can easily be updated and a new disc mailed. More about our sales tools here.
Some new enhancements we are working on are voiceover tours for realtors, click the logo on the left to hear an example.

Over the past couple of years we have worked with The Ad Council in NYC. Projects have included a PSA for the United Nations.

We also recently concluded a series of pdf to html conversions of the Ad Council's monthly PSA Bulletin.
Including a downloadable, printable pdf of a site is something that realtors and land developers are finding increasingly useful for their target audience. A good example of this is on the Catskill Concepts site which contains two PDFs, one for the main site and one that is dedicated to a feature property, Jefferson Ranch. What this gives you is a full color online updateable brochure?
John with Laura Gould, owner of Sanctuary Home Furnishings in Beacon, who specializes in the best from Asia. We recently shot her new inventory and are currently installing it in the online galleries. Dispensing with any sales text, this site is interesting to see as it relies solely on photography and background music to lure its customers.
Having had a few photo layouts in New York Living Magazine 2004/2005, John says that the mag is now looking at Patrou Phelps to repaint their site at some point. There's talk of incorporating lots of sound and movement and to that end we are developing city vignettes, slideshows, video and other artistic stuff with sound, creating themes and moods etc, and seeing where it all leads.
Limited Editions Realty in Cold Spring recently added a new section, 10 Steps to Selling Your Home, instructing sellers how to prepare their home for sale. It was a lot of fun and a bit of a challenge, scouting the neighborhood for the appropriate shots.

Just finished a new product launch site for ToMA Vodka.

Site features sell sheet type layouts and incorporates different background music styles for each target demographic.

One of the really great things about the internet is the flexibility it allows for incrementally updating online product brochure and pdf content as opposed to the old days when you constantly got stuck with thousands of out of date printed materials that became useless as your inventory changed.
Green Courage has done yet another upgrade to their product inventory pages and their site is developing into a very distinctive online brochure of their offerings.
The realty site that we just launched for top Westchester producer Luis Fernandez shows a more whimsical approach than most of the standard template based sites that you see from many realtors these days. Lots of photos, custom graphic titles and a break from the cold corporate look. He says he is getting a lot of attention and a lot of compliments as well and guess what? Lots of Sales !!!!!
New site for First Management, a commercial real estate firm in Omaha, Nebraska. This was an upgrade to their original site, adding the advantage of database integration and new visuals to display it all.
We have just completed work on the mini promo site for Paul Burrell's new wine label Royal Butler Wines. Although currently a simple brochure site, it will also showcase event galleries and an industry only media page featuring photos for publication. There's also talk of adding an online store to accomodate additional Paul Burrell product... See related photo shoot on the left.

We have just starting preliminary design work on a new site for Riverstone Farms in Garrison NY. Initial photography is under way. The place is jumpin!

Over the past few years we have done several property showcase sites for developer Catskill Concepts. The latest features the Trailhead Village townhouse community in Tannersville, NY. The project involved several trips to the area to shoot the multicolored village of Tannersville and the various buildings that makeup the Trailhead Village complex, townhouses and clubhouse. As the property is not yet finished, we did quite a bit of photo rendering to show it in its finished state, complete with landscaping. This also allows for brochures to be designed and printed ahead of the completion date of the property. Here's the link to the Trailhead Village site and here's a link to some of the renderings.

ColdSpringLiving.com is a new magazine site that showcases destination and lifestyle in the lower Hudson Valley.

This project involved days of location photography, scouting the lower Hudson Valley, visiting the River Towns from Manhattan north to Beacon, as well as a few stops on the other bank, like West Point and the Nyacks.

The Main Street module  is creating quite a bit of interest with several other towns looking to add their own.

Here's John on location with Noam Bramson, the Mayor of New Rochelle, at the opening of the new Annie Sez store at Palmer Square. This is the second in series of media events that we have been covering for The Breton Group in Valhalla.

Lou was recently invited to exhibit several pieces of his artwork as part of the inaugural show of the new Monkdogz Gallery in Manhattan.
Located in the Aperture Building on West 27th St in Chelsea, Mondogz Urban Art opened on March 11th with morning champage brunch and afternoon artists' reception. The Show runs thru April 15 and features a hand picked group of international artists. The opening was beamed around the globe via webcam. John shot the artists' reception. Click photo.
Royalty Pros is updating their web site and we recently visited their Manhattan showroom to stage a bunch of promo shots of principal Howard Fleischer. New site is expected to launch at end of November. Here is Lou directing Howard amongst some of his product successes.
Petro Real Estate Development Corp in Mamaroneck, just north of NYC, recently launched a mini site to showcase their construction projects. The site is very 'to the point' and gave us the opportunity to get some fresh air as we photographed their current New York area projects.
We recently completed a new site for Metrowine. This database driven site features a Public section and a secure Trade section that displays inventory, weekly specials, vendors can view the wholesale catalog and place orders, reps can review their current orders and accounts receivable. The info (pricing, incentives) displayed is determined by the login status of the user (merchant, rep etc) and is updated in real time.
Green Courage is getting lots of compliments on the aesthetics of their newly launched site.
August had us returning to the Catskills for photo updates to the various Catskill Concepts building projects. We had shot several locations in their early stages of construction last year and they are now nearing completion and the site is currently being updated with the new imagery.
Lou, Nora Preusser and her son John, discuss adding a new section to their realty site, preusser.com. Most of our realtor clients started out with a very basic site and have just been adding to it as they go. Preusser is one of a handful of realtor sites we have done for those who want something a little more original, more personalized and less format oriented, more boutique-like. These types of sites seem to have a certain wamrth and user friendliness about them unlike the cold corporate templated versions that basically all look the same.
Both of Lou's art sites are good examples of very clean, 'to the point' web sites, clear navigation and lots of visuals with still plenty of room to breathe. Lou wisely shows restraint in the use of Flash on his site, just a touch of animation is all that's needed.
Almost forgot, Lou designed a showcase site for a line of cards based on his artwork and it's really cool...
On the photo front, John was recently commissioned to shoot the cover photo for the new CD by Aussie music icon, Brian Cadd. The session took place in Sydney (see our photo section).
For fantastic Japanese and Thai Fusion dishes check out Osho Japanese Steakhouse in Poughkeepsie. You'll be raving! In the meantime here's the site we recently did for them.
They are currently planning to update the Flash movie on their homepage with some new photos.
Also coming up is the new Coty Holiday Catalog.
Each year we team up with Fergus O'Daly Associates and Beachhead Technologies for assorted Coty projects, a recurring one being the Holiday Catalog.
We've had growing interest in our mini sites and here's an example:
 - Los Angeles playwright/actor Susan Merson
Ms Merson's site contains a touch of Hollywood and includes photo galleries of her teaching her touring masterclass & a video presentation of her actor's 'reel'.
The Red Caboose hobby shop on 45th St joined the fray recently with a photos only teaser site.
Our team partners on most large projects are:
